JOHNNY ON THE SPOT

By Ty Bartell

COLUMBIANA OH – As we are in the midst of another high school basketball season, The HEartland Christian Lions are off to another successful start with a 6-3 record. One of the main driving forces behind the early season success is Lions senior Johnny Meyer. Part of a well-achieved Lions squad a year ago, the need for Meyer to step up was a must with Heartland Christian losing their two top scorers to graduation from a year ago.

This season, Meyer looks to step up in a big way both on and off the court as one of The Lions leaders. With a winning record approaching the halfway mark of the season, Meyer knows that more goals will come during tournament time as The Lions look to make a similar run from a season ago.

In this exclusive edition of Player Profile on YSN, Ty Bartell got the opportunity to chat with Johnny Meyer about his senior year. Discussing the impact the sport has had on his life, the advice he would give younger players, goals for this year and so much more!
