WINDHAM, OH- The Cardinal girls basketball flexed their muscle in a convincing win over the Windham Bombers, dominating from start to finish for a 48-14 victory. The Cardinals brought relentless energy on both ends of the floor, shutting down the Bombers’ offense while spreading the wealth offensively.

The Cardinals’ scoring was led by Nove Young’s 10 points, and Natalie Soltis, who dropped a clean 8 points to pace her team. Emma Pleva added eight, while Izzy Kaminski and Bailey Kitzmiller chipped in with six points apiece. Cardinal saw contributions from nearly everyone, with solid ball movement and balanced scoring keeping Windham on their heels.

Defensively, the Cardinals were on lockdown mode, forcing turnovers and limiting Windham’s opportunities in the paint. Their defensive rotations were crisp, leading to quick transition buckets that swung momentum their way early and often.

The Bombers found themselves in a scoring drought for much of the night, managing just 14 points overall. Mackenzie Blockinger and Brooklyn Jones combined for 12 of those points, but the team struggled to find a rhythm against Cardinal’s aggressive defense. Despite their best efforts, Windham’s shooting woes and limited offensive looks made it a tough outing.

Cardinal stayed disciplined on defense, with fouls spread evenly across the team. Windham, however, found themselves in foul trouble early in the second half, further stalling any chance of a comeback. The Cardinals capitalized on free throws and maintained their commanding lead.

By halftime, the Cardinals had already built an insurmountable lead, cruising into the second half with confidence. They controlled the boards, played stifling defense, and executed their offense efficiently.
