SALEM CRUISES OVER BULLDOGS

EAST PALESTINE OH- Salem went into East Palestine Tuesday night and beat the Bulldogs 69-47.

Johnathan Bertovitch has a strong night in a losing effort scoring 32 points for the Bulldogs. Unfortunately for Palestine, Bertovitch’s scoring didn’t come in the first quarter and they found themselves down 18-4 after one frame. That was enough of a cushion for the Quakers to hold off East Palestine for the rest of the game.

Hunter Griffith led the Quakers with 16 points.

QUAKERS FALL SHORT AGAINST WEST BRANCH

BELOIT OH-West Branch was able to hold off Salem Friday night with a 57-36 win.

The Quakers had a huge second quarter outscoring the Warriors 15-6 in the second quarter. It was a great response from the Quakers who trailed 17-3 after one frame. The big second quarter made it a 23-18 game at half. But it wasn’t enough for Salem as the Warriors shot of a cannon in the third quarter. They grabbed control of the game at that point and never looked back.

Hunter Griffith led the Quakers with 10 points.
