EMCH SHOWS EM’ HOW TO SHINE IN VEGAS
COLUMBIANA OH- Abbey Emch, a senior at Crestview High School, is gearing up for what promises to be an exciting final season of high school volleyball. Known for her exceptional talent and leadership on the court, Abbey has been a key player for the Rebels, helping them reach the regional finals last season. Now, with her sights set on breaking through to the State tournament, Abbey is ready to lead her team with renewed confidence and determination.
This past club season, Abbey spent her time with Infinity 17’s, a team that achieved remarkable success. Infinity 17’s finished the year ranked 2nd in the Ohio Valley Region (OVR) and 34th nationally, a testament to their hard work and skill. The highlight of their season was undoubtedly their trip to Las Vegas for the USAV Junior National Championships. Infinity 17’s delivered an outstanding performance, finishing 5th overall. Both Abbey and her teammate Rylie Simons, from Austintown Fitch, were honored by being named to the all-tournament team, a recognition of their exceptional contributions on the court.
Playing with Infinity 17’s has infused Abbey with even more confidence as she prepares for her senior year at Crestview. The club season was filled with challenging matches where the team often had to come back from deficits, teaching Abbey that no game is ever truly lost until the final point. This experience has fortified her belief in perseverance and resilience, qualities she intends to bring to every match this season. Abbey’s ability to stay composed under pressure and lead her team through tough situations will be invaluable as the Rebels aim for a state tournament berth.
As Crestview gears up for the upcoming volleyball season, the excitement is palpable. Abbey Emch is set to be a cornerstone of the team, bringing her talent, experience, and newfound confidence to the forefront.
