Growing up in Wellsville, Bissell’s passion for sports began at a young age. With aspirations of joining the WNBA, she quickly pivoted to journalism upon realizing her true calling. Inspired by notable figures such as Erin Andrews and Michelle Tofoya, Bissell was determined to carve her path in sports reporting. Her persistence paid off when she interned at WFMJ and later secured a position after her graduation.
Throughout the podcast, Bissell reflected on her love for sports, particularly the impact it had on her life due to her family’s avid support of the Dallas Cowboys and her experiences attending her brother’s games.
