WELLSVILLE OH- Get ready Wellsville! Are you ready for some Tiger baseball!? For Head Coach Justin Gerren, he is chomping at the bit to get this season underway!   With The Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference (EOAC) typically being a strong, small school, baseball conference. That trend looks to continue in the 2022 season.   Of course, The Clippers of Columbiana will have something to say about Wellsville challenging for the conference crown this season.   Pitching per usual, is the name of the game this season, and for The Tigers, they like their chances with their arms this year.

The Tigers will open up their season in a battle for the jungle! With The Youngstown East Golden Bears on the slate for opening day.   Catch that game on Saturday, March 26th.

WELLSVILLE, OH – The Wellsville Tigers are back on the diamond and ready to get to work for the upcoming season. Head coach, Justin Gerren, and the Tigers are eager and excited to make a splash in the EOAC this season after their 2020 season was dismantled!

Coach Gerren and the Tigers will lean heavily on their upperclassmen to show the way and teach the underclassmen what it is like to be a Tiger baseball player and what it takes to win in a tough conference! The Tigers will be paced by two seniors, one junior, and a significant amount of sophomores and freshmen that Coach Gerren is excited about because he is able to see the program develop and mature early in these young players’ careers. Wellsville is scheduled to open up their season on season on Monday, March 29th, on the road at Lisbon.

YSN’s own, BIlly McCartney and Quinn Puskar, had the opportunity to meet Coach Gerren this week to discuss the upcoming season of Wellsville baseball, what some of Coach’s expectations are for this season, and a team preview about some of the key players who will be making an impact on the diamond throughout the season!
