CANFIELD VOLLEYBALL COACH’S CORNER (EP 1) WITH KRISTA NESBITT

CANFIELD OH- a second year with a program is always a fun one to watch for a coach.  Building a culture is done, and now the steps go into motion to sustain it.  For Canfield volleyball and second year head coach Krista Nesbitt this year will indeed about being sustaining the leadership of eight seniors that graduated the program.  There are now plenty of open spots, which will grant new opportunities for the rising youth the Cardinals carry.  The one thing you know about Canfield , is they have a knack for winning, no matter the sport. The Cardinals will carry this winning mentality through a tough AAC, and an even tougher non conference schedule. It all begins August 22nd at Archbishop Hoban.

Coach Nesbitt was kind enough to come on an interview with Anthony Hartwig to give a solid preview of the upcoming season. They discuss the new faces that are stepping up, the leaders they will lean on, and so much more. Check out Episode 1 of Coach’s Corner with Krista Nesbitt only on YSN.

CANFIELD VOLLEYBALL COACH’S CORNER (EP 2) WITH KRISTA NESBITT

CANFIELD OH- The tournament always brings a sense of urgency to locker rooms. That is especially true for Canfield. Their roster is full of seniors who simply don’t want to say goodbye to their season.  They’ve spent all year sharpening their skills against a brutal schedule. Canfield may have dropped down to division 2, but their schedule still reflects that of a division 1 school. That schedule has zero easy wins on it.  The Cardinals have brought an energetic drive to their practices leading up to tournament time.  They got their first round win over Ravenna and now look forward to a game against Perry.  That will be Thursday at Notre Dame Cathedral Latin.

Canfield head coach Krista Nesbitt took some time after practice to sit down with Anthony Hartwig to talk about the season, and their upcoming path to a district championship.  They also break down the great regular season the Cardinals have put together.  Check out Episode 2 of Coach’s Corner With Krista Nesbitt only on YSN!

CANFIELD VOLLEYBALL COACH’S CORNER (EP 1) WITH KRISTA NESBITT

CANFIELD OH- It’s the start of a new era in Canfield for their volleyball program. The Cardinals will face 2022 with a new coach at the helm. Krista Nesbitt enters the fold to lead the Cardinals. Last year, Nesbitt was the JV coach for the Cardinals, and so she was at every step of the journey. That has helped her in taking over the job as the varsity head coach.  She knows the players, skill sets, and culture that has driven the Cardinals to success for years.

Coach Nesbitt was able to hop on YSN’s Running Point this week to talk about her first year with the reigns. She talks with Anthony Hartwig and Ty Bartell about the senior leadership her team will have, what the strengths of the team will be, and much more. Don’t miss the chance to learn more about Cardinal Volleyball in Episode 1 of Coach’s Corner With Krista Nesbitt.
