HEADED HOME: SALEM LADY QUAKERS SOFTBALL PREVIEW

SALEM, OH – The Salem Lady Quakers are back in action after a COVID shortened 2020 season and head coach Michael Thorpe and the Lady Quakes couldn’t be more excited and eager to get back on the diamond!

Coach Thorpe will look to seniors Hannah Kelm and Dorothy Moore to lead the way for the Lady Quakers as they will look to partner up with the underclassmen and try to achieve their goal of breaking the school record for wins in a season. That record is at 15 wins, which was set two years ago. Salem will look to get things started on Saturday, March 27th, on the road at Warren G. Harding.

YSN’s own, BIlly McCartney and Quinn Puskar, had the opportunity to chat with Coach Thorpe this week to discuss the team and get a preview about some of the key players who will be making an impact on the field throughout the course of the season, what some of Coach’s expectations are for this season, and to talk about the excitement the Salem community has for this season of softball!
