LOWELLVILLE OH- Lowellville is gearing up for basketball season, and the Rockets have a much of new names to get to know this year. They lost a big chunk of their offensive production to graduation, and now will rely on a young, but talented roster to compete in the MVAC.

Coach Lisa Modelski comes on for another year on the bench leading the team. She took time to talk with Anthony Hartwig about what this new season is about to bring. LOWELLVILLE OH- Basketball season is almost here.  As the dates go by and we get closer, we continue to preview the season. Lowellville’s girls program is an interesting one to look at.  Watching them last year, you can tell they have the ability to make waves. Although they lose a chunk of their consistent scoring from a year ago, this season they return a lot of talent, and experience.  The Rockets were 10-12 last season, and got a huge tournament win on the road at Badger.  They’ll take the momentum of that win into this year. They open the season at home against Campbell on November 18.

Head coach Lisa Modelski took the time to sit down with Anthony Hartwig to give us a preview of their season.  They talk about key members of their roster, what the biggest strength of the team will be, and so much more. LOWELLVILLE OH- Lowellville has turned into upset city! The Rockets have officially started to make some noise in the Division IV district. On Saturday they went on the road to the eighth seeded Badger Braves. The Rockets stormed to a 60-55 win in double overtime. The excitement of the win went further than just the team. The entire student section rushed the floor as the energy bubbles up.

Now the next test awaits as the Rockets go on to play the top seeded Panthers from Bristol. Lowellville how’s the mountain is high to climb, but they have the confidence to climb it. It’s time for the Rockets to rumble the afterburners in the district tournament.

LOWELLVILLE OH- The Rockets we’re one of the few area teams last season to have no seniors on their roster. While that made some struggles in 2020, it will lead to Ron’s of experience in 2021. Lowellville is all of the sudden one of the more experienced teams in the MVAC. A MVAC that has become pretty open to a new team taking the title. With a great community behind them, Lowellville promises to be an exciting squad this season.
