SALEM OH- The multi-talented, Swiss Army Knife of all things sports Matt Mowery is adding another feather to his cap, taking over as the Head Coach for The Salem Quakers girls basketball team. From assisting as the boys coach for years and broadcasting countless Salem football games with YSN, Coach Mowery looks to bring plenty of knowledge and experience to a Quakers team that looks to build back to the success the program has recently tasted!

An 11-14 team from a year ago, The Quakers have returned a good bit of talent from a year ago and look to be competitive in the very tough Eastern Buckeye Conference (EBC). Opening the season on the road in a non-conference matchup with The United Golden Eagles on Friday, November 22nd with a 7 p.m. tip-off in Hanoverton.

In this edition of Coaches Corner, YSNs Ty Bartell gets to chat with Coach Mowery about the upcoming season, the culture he looks to implement and some names to watch out for on the floor for The Quakers!
