CANFIELD OH-

Canfield took the lead late and defeated Medina 3-1 on Friday. The game was tied at one with Canfield  batting in the bottom of the fifth when they scored one run on a stolen base.

The pitching was strong on both sides. The Cardinals pitchers struck out four, while Medina pitchers sat down eight.

Medina knotted the game up at one in the top of the fourth inning. Medina scored one run on a RBI single.

Connor Miller was the winning pitcher for Canfield. Miller went four innings, allowing one run on three hits, striking out one and walking zero. Jake Grdic threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen. Grdic recorded the last nine outs to earn the save.

Josh Juliano led Canfield with two hits in three at bats.
