KNIGHTLINE SURGES INTO THE CHAMPIONSHIP

STRUTHERS OH- Things we’re looking bleak for Knightline in their decisive Game 3 against Dura Edge on Sunday. Going into the bottom of 7th inning Knightline trailed 11-7. They ballooned for 5 runs to walk off into the Championship and win 12-11.

Anthony Massucci shines for Knightline’s offense. He went 3-5 with 4 RBI. Gavin Mauger went 2-3 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI. Guy Young went 1-2 with a walk and 2 RBI.

Despite the loss, Dura Edge did not struggle offensively. Joe Bobusci led the charge going 3-3 with a run scored, a walk, and a RBI. Nick Kingerski went 2-4 with a run scored and 2 RBI. Kyle Yost went 2-3 with a walk and a RBI.

Dru DeShields was awarded the victory on the bump for Dura Edge. He went 3 innings and gave up 9 earned runs on 12 hits. He struck out 5.

DURA EDGE CLINCHES SERIES OVER WHITING

STRUTHERS OH- It was a very competitive game 2 between Dura Edge and Whiting Roll-Offs, but a two run 4th inning ended up being the difference in Dura’s 6-4 win. Dura Edge moves on to the next round of the playoffs.

Nick Kingerski has another good night for Dura Edge as he went 1-3 with 2 RBI. Ryan Telesz went 2-3 with 1 RBI. Tyler Rekich went 2-2 with 2 runs scored and a RBI.

Braeden D’Angelo did not go down fighting for Whiting. He went 2-3 with 3 of his team’s 4 RBI.  Ken Lavrich has the other RBI on a night where he went 2-3 with a run scored.

Four pitchers threw for Dura Edge, but Telesz picked up the victory tossing 2 innings giving up 1 run on 2 hits.

DURA EDGE STEALS A VICTORY

STRUTHERS OH- Dura Edge just got past Whiting Roll-Offs on Wednesday in a 9-8 Game 1 victory in the playoffs. After giving up a big seven run 2nd, Dura Edges pitching silenced the Whiting bats and gave their offense room to slowly chip away at the lead.

Nick Leasure was anything but leisurely at the plate for Dura. He went 3-3 with a run scored and 2 RBI. Nate Rynd went 2-2 with 2 runs scored, a walk, and 2 RBI. Nick Kingerski also collected 2 RBI on a 1-2 day.

For Whiting, Mike Pasquello went 2-4 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI. Dante Micaletti went 2-4 with 1 run scored and 2 RBI. Nate Hayes went 2-3 with a run scored, a walk, and a RBI.

Joe Bobusci pitched five scoreless innings to give Dura’s offense room for the comeback. He gave 4 hits and struck out 6. Tyler Rekich was the starting pitcher and as awarded the victory.

DURA EDGE WALKS OFF EAGLE WEAR

STRUTHERS OH- It was a back and forth offensive slugfest between Dura Edge and Eagle Wear on Friday.  Eagle Wear jumped out to a 5-0 lead early, then Dura Edge tied it up in the 3rd with a five spot. Dura Edge then used another five spot in the 6th. Eagle Wear tied the game at 11 in the top of 7th but Dura Edge Walker it off for a 12-11 win.

Nick Kingerski went 2-4 for Dura Edge with 3 RBI. Anthony Malagise went 2-3 with 3 RBI. Nate Rynd went 1-2 with 2 RBI.

For Eagle Wear, Ethan Prout went 2-3 with a run scored and 2 RBI. Brett Brown went 2-4 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI.

Josh Reed got the win for Dura Edge going 6 innings on the mound. He struck out 4.
