RAIDERS BLAST STOW TO EARN DOUBLE HEADER SPLIT

STOW OH- Juli Stachowicz threw a shutout to lead South Range past Stow-Munroe Falls 10-0 on Saturday.

South Range secured the victory thanks to six runs in the fourth inning. Madison Dado, Samantha Susany, Stachowicz, and Jamie Feren all drove in runs in the frame.

The Raiders tallied six runs in the fourth inning. The offensive onslaught came from singles by Dado, Stachowicz, and Feren and a walk by Susany.

Stachowicz was the winning pitcher for South Range. The lefthander allowed two hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out five and walking zero.

The Raiders totaled ten hits in the game. Kelly Szolek, Dado, and Feren each collected multiple hits. Feren, Dado, and Szolek all had two hits to lead. South Range didn’t commit a single error in the field. Szolek had five chances in the field, the most on the team.

IRISH MAKE THINGS HARD ON HARDING

WARREN OH- Ursuline jumped out to an early lead over Harding and took home a 9-1 victory on Friday. Ursuline scored on a single by Gia Schiavone and a double by Alyssa Sheely in the second inning.

The Irish secured the victory thanks to six runs in the fourth inning. Their big inning was driven by singles by Madelyn Miklandric, Layni Bednar, Ayva Fedor, and Liza Barbato and a double by Katie Koulianos.

Ursuline pulled away for good with two runs in the second inning. In the second Schiavone singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run and Sheely doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

The Irish scored six runs in the fourth inning. They put the pressure on, led by singles by Miklandric, Bednar, Fedor, and Barbato and a double by Koulianos.

Barbato got the win for Ursuline. Barbato went four innings, allowing one run on three hits, striking out nine and walking zero. Kyleigh Golden threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Karly Trisler took the loss for Harding. Trisler surrendered nine runs on 13 hits over five innings, striking out two.

Ursuline collected 15 hits on the day. Koulianos, Golden, Miklandric, and Sheely each had multiple hits. Koulianos went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead in hits.

Trisler led Harding with two hits in two at bats. The Raiders didn’t commit a single error in the field. Vai Berry had the most chances in the field with seven.

LAKEVIEW SHAKES THINGS UP

CANFIELD OH- Lakeview snatched the lead late in the game in a 7-6 victory over South Range on Thursday. The game was tied at six with Lakeview  batting in the top of the seventh when an error scored one run.

The base paths were crowded in this high-scoring game. Lakeview collected ten hits and South Range had ten.

Lakeview got things moving in the first inning. They scored three runs when Hallie Capan homered.

Lakeview knotted the game up at six in the top of the sixth inning. Kylie Imes homered on a 0-1 count, scoring three runs.

Lakeview notched three runs in the sixth inning. They scored their runs on a home run by Imes.

South Range scored three runs in the fourth inning. The Raiders scored their runs on a double by Jayli Wilt.

Ella Chadwick toed the rubber for Lakeview.  The bulldog allowed eight hits and six runs over four innings.

Juli Stachowicz was in the pitcher’s circle for South Range. Stachowicz went five and two-thirds innings, allowing six runs on ten hits and striking out seven. Samantha Susany threw one and one-third innings in  relief.

Lakeview totaled ten hits in the game. Izzy Haines, Reagan Price, Imes, and Gianna Caruso each had multiple hits. Caruso, Imes, Price, and Haines all had two hits to lead.

South Range scattered ten hits in the game. Madison Dado, Wilt, and Kelly Szolek all collected multiple hits. Dado went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead in hits.

RANGE TAKES DOWN IRISH ON THE FLY

STRUTHERS OH- Ursuline Varsity Irish took an early lead in the second inning. Ursuline scored one run when Danny Smith doubled. However, it wasn’t enough as South Range pulled away for a 5-3 win.

South Range took the lead for good with four runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Michael Markulin singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run and Dylan Dominguez singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

Aidan English was credited with the victory for South Range. The fireballer went four innings, allowing two runs on two hits and striking out four. Joe Aey and Dominguez entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Tre Ciavarella took the loss for Ursuline. The righthander allowed five hits and five runs over three and a third innings, striking out two.

Smith, Dylan Casey, and Joe Carosella all had one hit to lead the Irish.

South Range had seven hits in the game. Dominguez and Markulin all had multiple hits. Shane Lindstrom led South Range with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with seven stolen bases. South Range didn’t commit a single error in the field. Konnor Brogan had the most chances in the field with seven.

SUSANY WALKS IT OFF FOR RAIDERS AND GIVES THEM NE8 EDGE

South Range seized victory in dramatic walk-off fashion, thanks to a sacrifice fly at the end of the game to topple Poland. The game was tied at three with South Range Raiders batting in the bottom of the seventh when Samantha Susany’s sac fly scored one run.

South Range opened up an early lead in the second inning when Madison Dado tripled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

Susany pitched the Raiders to victory. Susany allowed nine hits and three runs over seven innings, striking out eight.

Katie McDonald took the loss for Poland. The pitcher lasted six and two-thirds innings, allowing seven hits and four runs while striking out seven.

Juli Stachowicz led South Range with two hits in four at bats.

The Bulldogs racked up nine hits. McDonald and Sophia Dedo each racked up multiple hits. Poland was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Emily Denney made the most plays with seven.

WILDCATS CONTINUE WINNING WAYS

STRUTHERS OH- Both Struthers and Harding had their offenses going on Thursday, but Struthers eventually prevailed 10-6.

The Wildcats got on the board in the first inning when Drew Day singled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.

Harding scored three runs in the fifth inning. Their batters contributing to the big inning included Carter Knupp and Blaise Schuller, who all drove in runs.

Ronnie Leonard was the winning pitcher for the Wildcats. The pitcher lasted four innings, allowing two hits and two runs while striking out four. Day, Aiden Mauro, and Chance Laczko all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory. Laczko recorded the last two outs to earn the save.

Carson Peterson took the loss for Harding. The bulldog surrendered ten runs on seven hits over six innings, striking out six.

Struthers racked up seven hits in the game. Austin McCullough and Alec Grzyb all collected multiple hits for. Grzyb and McCullough all had two hits to lead.

BOARDMAN CONTINUES DOMINANCE OF HARDING

WARREN OH- Boardman had no trouble on offense today, winning big over Harding 19-2.

In the first inning, the Spartans got their offense started when Griffin Widrig doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

Boardman scored eight runs in the seventh inning. The offensive onslaught came from singles by Jack Dascenzo, Isaiah Torres, Jac Cordon, Stephen Conti, and Aiden Miller and a walk by Jason Triveri.

Guy Young earned the win for Boardman. The lefthander surrendered two runs on three hits over six innings, striking out eight and walking one. Triveri threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Boardman tallied 15 hits. Dascenzo, Widrig, Colin Thomas, Gavin Hyde, and Conti all had multiple hits. Dascenzo went 3-for-6 at the plate to lead in hits.

STRINES SHINES AS BOARDMAN SWEEPS RAIDERS

WARREN OH- Tori Strines didn’t allow a single run as Boardman defeated Harding 11-0 on Wednesday. Strines allowed just two hits.

Boardman secured the victory thanks to eight runs in the seventh inning. Nadia Rawhneh, Dana Haus, Cami Goske, Bella Eliser, Jenna Olexa, and Cassidy Bryan all moved runners across the plate with RBIs.

The Spartans put up eight runs in the seventh inning. Their offense in the inning came from singles by Rawhneh, Haus, Goske, and Olexa, a groundout by Eliser, and a double by Bryan.

Strines got the win for Boardman. The righthander went seven innings, allowing zero runs on two hits, striking out 11 and walking one.

The Spartans racked up 17 hits on the day. Haus, Bryan, Rawhneh, Strines, Goske, and Madison Lester all managed multiple hits. Rawhneh, Bryan, and Haus all had three hits to lead.

SPARTANS CRUISE TO ANOTHER AAC WIN

BOARDMAN OH-  Boardman easily did away with Harding 9-1 on Tuesday night in AAC action.

Boardman  evened things up at one in the bottom of the third inning when Jenna Olexa singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

The Spartans pulled away for good with four runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Cami Goske singled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs, Tori Strines singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, and an error scored one run for Boardman Spartans Varsity.

Boardman scored four runs in the sixth inning. The batters contributing to the big inning included Strines, Madison Lester, and Madison Wymer, all driving in runs.

Lester earned the victory in the circle for Boardman. The righthander allowed two hits and one run over seven innings, striking out eight and walking zero.

Boardman racked up 11 hits in the game. Strines, Goske, Wymer, and Olexa each collected multiple hits. Olexa, Wymer, Goske, and Strines each managed two hits to lead.

Boardman is scheduled to finish their series with the Raiders Wednesday as they travel to Warren.

RAIDERS WIN TWO OVER NILES

CANFIELD OH- In a make up situation between Niles and South Range, the two teams played a pair of five inning games on Tuesday to settle their season series. South Range won game 1 19-1, and then took game 2 12-0.

GAME 1:

South Range won big over Niles 19-1 on Tuesday.

South Range got things moving in the first inning, when Jamie Feren tripled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.

The Raiders tallied nine runs in the second inning. Feren, Kelly Szolek, Reagan Irons, Hannah Ball, Giada Pauline, and Riley DeCiancio powered the big inning with RBIs.

Juli Stachowicz earned the win for South Range. The southpaw surrendered zero runs on zero hits over three innings, striking out seven and walking zero. Irons threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

South Range Raiders Varsity smacked two home runs on the day. Samantha Susany had a four bagger in the first inning. Stachowicz also had a long ball in the first inning.

The Raiders racked up 16 hits on the day. Szolek, Madison Dado, Irons, and Stachowicz all had multiple hits. Stachowicz, Irons, Dado, and Szolek each collected two hits to lead.

GAME 2:

South Range won 12-0 in game 2 as the teams finished after 3 innings.

Samantha Susany, and Reagan Irons both had 2 hits for the Raiders in game 2. Irons had a pair of RBI. Susany had one as well.

Susany struck out 5 in two innings pitched. She gave up 0 runs on 0 hits. Irons pitched an inning in relief.
