RAIDERS WIN THIRD STRAIGHT

CANFIELD, OH – The South Range boys were looking to extend their win streak to three as they hosted Niles on Saturday night. The Red Dragons were looking for a spark in their

season with a win. Both clubs started fast, trading opportunities throughout the first half as the lead went back and forth. In the second half, the Raiders seemed to find some

momentum with great perimeter offense and finished with eight total 3’s on the night.

Niles would fight back in the fourth to cut the lead a little, but South Range hung on to take the victory, 48-37.

For the Raiders, Eli Taylor led the way with 12 points. Behind him was Luke

Crumbacher with 10, and Brandon Mikos with 8 points on the night. For the Red Dragons, Kross Naples led the way with 17 points off four 3’s of his own. Behind him was Doug Foster with 10 points on the night.

The Red Dragons will be back in action and travel to Lakeview on January 19th. The Raiders will travel to Hubbard to take on the Eagles on January 22nd. Don’t miss it on YSN!

POLAND PUSHES WIN STREAK TO SIX

NILES, OH- The Poland Bulldogs entered Veterans Memorial Gymnasium with an ambition to win and continue on their win streak this season. Niles, after coming off a loss from undefeated Struthers, looked to bounce back against Poland Friday night. However, that was not the case. Bulldogs looked as though they were in dominant fashion, and won against the Red Dragons 66-23

The Red Dragons from beginning to end struggled to find any sort of moment on offense or defense. Led by senior Doug Foster, Niles was held to only 9 points in the first half alone. Poland, on the other hand, put up 5 times their score in the first half. As the first half ended, there was a technical foul called on a player from the Red Dragons, so before the start of the second half, Poland was able to get off two free penalty shots. Junior, Michael Gordon, had 11 points in the first half, and led the bulldogs in scoring throughout the game. Andrew Centofanti and Christian Colosimo also supplied many assists in the game. Poland’s consistent passing and successful shot taking ability was the main reason why they prevailed.

Poland is now 7-1 on the season, and will be playing South Range next Friday, January 15. Niles drops to 0-2 on the season and will play Hubbard next Tuesday on January 12.
