NEWTON FALLS, OH- The Tigers boys basketball team has a lot coming back from a year ago. Newton Falls brought back three starters from a season ago including: point guard Mac Haidet, shooting guard Alex Pennington and post player Jake Kline. The Tigers also ave letter winners coming back from last season including: Dom Greathouse, Carmelo Moore and Dylan Mcgregor.

Head Coach Roy Sembach sat down with Ty Bartell to preview the 2022-2023 Newton Falls boys basketball season. Coach Sembach emphasizes defense as the teams priority, along with execution on the court with the size and experience coming back this season. NEWTON FALLS OH- The Tigers come walking into the 2021 season as owners of a MVAC championship. The reigning title holders will be top dog, or cat in this matter until someone knocks them off. Although there will be some new faces on the court this season, head coach Roy Sembach continues to be confident they can throw their hat in the ring for a back to back title run. Newton Falls will continue to get everyone’s best shot, and they welcome all challenges.

NEWTON FALLS OH- The Tigers are entering tournament play at last. Newton Falls closed out the regular season with a 64-30 win over LaBrae on Saturday to close their regular season with a record of 13-5. The Tigers open up their tournament play on Tuesday hosting East Palestine.

Tigers head coach Roy Sembach took the time to call in to YSN’s Running Point this week to talk about the Tigers season, and the state of the program.
