BURTON ALWAYS BOUNCES BACK

HANOVERTON OH- Mental toughness is a necessity for any student athlete. Everyone has to be able to deal with failure or bad breaks on some level. However, not many people have to bounce back from knee surgery a few months before a season. United volleyball senior Savannah Burton did just that. Bouncing back from surgery has made the ups and downs of a volleyball match seem like a walk in the park for Burton.

The senior brought mental strength to the team each and every day this season. Her work ethic is also deserving of attention. Savannah is not hesitant to be a player that shows up an hour early to practice to work on things. She says she has always taken her work very seriously. Whether it be on the court, or in the classroom Burton does not miss an opportunity to put in the work that success takes. Burton loves the underdog mentality. She says she loves when people doubt the United sports programs because it gives her and her teammates the chance to prove people wrong. It drives her when she knows people doubt her ability. She will always be a player, no matter the sport that makes her presence known with her play, her toughness, and her work ethic.

Savannah took the time to catch up with YSN’s Anthony Hartwig. They discuss coming back from adversity, her work ethic, and much more. The season may have come to a close, but you still don’t want to miss this exclusive United Volleyball player profile “Burton Always Bounces Back.”
