COLUMBIANA, OH- The Traveling Trophy between Columbiana and East Palestine will stay in place for another year thanks to an 81-46 final on Tuesday Night.

The Clippers (8-3, 6-1) remain one loss behind EOAC-leading Lisbon, but those two will tie up next Friday to settle the score.  East Palestine will drop to 3-7 overall and 1-6 in the conference.  The Clippers will visit Southern on Friday, and EP will play host the Lisbon in the Dog Pound.

COLUMBIANA BASKETBALL COACH’S CORNER (EP 1) WITH TODD JOHNSON

COLUMBIANA OH- It is the time all basketball fans have waited for. The start of the season is just about here. We continue our basketball previews with a trip to Columbiana to check in on their boys program.  The Clippers play in a very competitive EOAC. Lots of teams have hopes of ending the year at the top. The Clippers hope to be in the mix as well, like they have so many times in the past.  Last year they finished 10-4 in the conference, and 11-12 overall.  With plenty of games that they feel they could have won, Columbiana has high hopes.  This season the Clippers open their campaign on November 25 on the road at Mineral Ridge.

Head coach Todd Johnson returns to the helm of the team this season. He was kind enough to give us a solid preview of the season by chatting with Ty Bartell. They talk about team leaders, new faces that might pop up, and much more. Don’t miss the chance to hear a season preview in Episode 1 of Coach’s Corner with Todd Johnson.

COLUMBIANA BOYS BASKETBALL COACH’S CORNER (EP 1) WITH TODD JOHNSON

COLUMBIANA OH- Basketball season is on the horizon and we’d like to continue our season previews with the Columbiana boys program. The Clippers were a team last season that had to play a lot of young players in varsity situations. Because of this, obviously there some growing pains. The pay off for giving experience to youth one season is the growth they’ll have in the next season. That is the situation Columbiana finds themselves in. There will be plenty of experience on the floor for the Clippers this season that will turn them in to a team to be reckoned with in the area.

Head coach Todd Johnson was able to come on to YSN’s Running Point to help us preview the Clippers upcoming season. He talks with Anthony Hartwig, and Ty Bartell about the experience last season brought, what to expect out of his players, and much more. Episode 1 of Coach’s Corner with Todd Johnson is live.

COLUMBIANA COACH’S CORNER WITH TODD JOHNSON (EP 2)

The Clippers are back and are led by Third-year Skipper Todd Johnson.  The Clippers are still searching for consistency, but it’s the depth of the bench and a couple 3rd-year starters in leadership positions is something that Coach J is looking to pay off this year.

Is this the year that the Clippers retake their throne at the top of the league?

YSN’s Mark Franken sits down with Coach to discuss the year ahead, and what the expectations are for the Red and White.

Are the Clips the front-runners for the EOAC?  Can they knock-off the returning champs in Toronto?

All that and more in the year’s second edition of Columbiana Coach’s Corner with Todd Johnson!
