BERLIN CENTER OH- Western Reserve continued their warpath through the MVAC on Thursday as they swept right through Sebring. (25-8 25-12 25-11)
Raelynn Meyer had 13 assists. Haylee Fellows had 11 assists. Alyvia Hughes had12 kills and 8 digs. Alexa Abrams had 2 service Aces and 3 digs. for Sebring. Mallory Harsan had 12 assists and 9 digs and Blake Thomas had 8 kills.
Western Reserve is back in action on Monday as they host Salem in a non conference test. Sebring will close out the season on Thursday as they travel to Leetonia.

Lowellville OH- The Rockets have had their best start to the season under coach Mamula and looked to continue their success Friday against Sebring in a MVAC Scarlet Tier rivalry week seven and Division seven matchup. The last time Sebring beat the rockets was back in 2015 by the final of 28-14. They also beat them back in 2011 by the final of 31-14 and were looking for their third win of the 2000s against them under new coach Anthony Agresta.
Unfortunately, the opposite happened for the Trojans as the first half was all Lowellville. Vinny Ballone continued his perfect season with four touchdown passes, three were jet sweeps. The first was to Brady Bunofsky in just two plays from 15-yards out and the next from 53-yards with Bunofsky breaking five tackles. Later on, Ballone struck again, finding Braylen Dabney from 19-yards out and Ballone got his final touchdown from five yards out later on bringing his total to 39 touchdowns and 0 interceptions on the season.
Mark Dubois also scored from seven yards out later on in the game. The Trojans still showed that Sebring GRIT however when Braiden Yeater found Jahvian Cundiff in the back of the endzone for a two-yard touchdown. The two point conversion was good but it wasn’t enough as the Rockets held on to improve to 7-0 on the season.

SEBRING OH- McDonald didn’t let their impressive season slide on Thursday as they went to Sebring and swept the up and coming Trojans. (25-5 25-13 25-6)
Maria Rasile capped off a double double to lead the Blue Devils finishing with 13 kills and 14 assists. Gianna Constantino was 2 kills away from a double double with 15 assists and 8 kills. Kayla Helco led the Blue Devils defense with 17 digs.
McDonald will put themselves to the test on Saturday as they host Columbiana. The Blue Devils won the first matchup between the two in four sets. Sebring is now 8-11 and will move on to host Jackson Milton on Tuesday.
NORTH JACKSON, OH- Jackson-Milton came into week 6 looking to keep their good eason going with a win over Sebring, who is still looking for their first win of the season as the BlueJays hosted the Trojans Friday night. Milton came out hot and quick, jumping to a big lead early and never looked back. Jackson-Milton walked away with a 41-0 victory.
The Blue Jays air attack was on point thanks to QB, Alex Schiavi. Schiavi was efficient and slinging it everywhere around the field putting up 6 TDs. He completed only 10 passes for 225 yards, and connected on passes with Cayden Mitchell and Aiden Stanke. Both Mitchell and Stanke came down with 2 receiving TDs each to boost Milton to the win. The BlueJays defense also stood tall to allow the offense to roll on.
Looking forward, Jackson-Milton has a tough matchup next week as they host Mineral Ridge in the battle of two 5-1 teams. Both offenses have the ability to be balanced in their attacks and can be deadly in their passing game. Defense will be the go to factor for either team, and whichever teams can force more mistakes and capitalize will come away with a victory. Sebring will move on to next week as they will travel to Lowellville.

SEBRING OH- Springfield is starting to find a stride down the stretch of the season as they took a sweep over Sebring to stay hot. (25-19 25-11 25-19)
Jameka Brungard led the Tigers offense with 9 kills on the night. Madi Lesnak was right behind her finishing the night with 7 kills. Baelyn Brungard set up the offense wonderfully finishing with 13 assists. Sami McKim led the back row defense with 16 digs. Jacey Mullen also had a good defensive effort with 13 digs.
Springfield will return to action on Monday when they travel to take on some other Tigers in Newton Falls.

SEBRING OH- Week 3 for The Waterloo Vikings was a bit disappointing. Having opportunities to emerge victorious against Malvern, the two teams were even 14-14 heading to the fourth quarter, where The Hornets ultimately came away with the win. That being the last week of non-conference opponents for The Vikings, they looked ahead to Week 4, where they opened up with a traveling trophy game against The Sebring Trojans. Traveling to the home of the purple and gold, Waterloo had hopes of keeping the trophy in Atwater after reclaiming it off Sebring in 2021.
Sebring opened up the game with possession, but The Viking defense did its part in forcing the fourth down and getting the ball in the hands of Jayden Hakin. Needless to say, when Hakin had the ball he was special on friday night. Taking a big run to the house opened up the onslaught of scoring by Waterloo.
By halftime, Hakin carried the ball 5 times for 139 yards and the hat trick of 3 touchdowns. Also adding in a perfect completion percentage, going 4/4 for 31 yards in the air and an additional touchdown. The scoring by Hakin was directly a result of great line play on The Vikings end. Creating plenty of running lanes in the night, while simultaneously closing the gaps on defense, Waterloo led 32-0 by the half.
Having the running clock that has been implemented by The OHSAA this season when a team leads by 30 or more points, allowed The Vikings to drain away the time in the second half. Waterloo would add a pair of touchdowns, while Sebring would get on the board with the rushing touchdown by Jahvian Cundiff on a 33 yard strike. However, the scoring by The Vikings in the first half proved to be too much, as Waterloo opened up the conference slate with a 47-8 victory over Sebring.
With the win, Waterloo (2-2) will now look to host Western Reserve (1-3) in Week 5 on Friday, September 16th. Sebring (0-4) will also be hosting some Blue Devils, as they will do battle with McDonald (1-3) also on September 16th.
NORTH JACKSON OH- Jackson Milton got back on the winning track Thursday night after three straight games in three nights as they took down Sebring in straight sets.
Tonight was a special night as senior Paige Grope recorded her 1000th career assist. Paige finished the night with 18 assists on 47 attempts, 4 aces and 4 kills. Emily Fultz had 15 service points, 2 aces. Mia Greco recorded 12 kills on 18 attempts, along with 4 solo blocks. Grace Johns chipped in 12 digs.
The Blue Jays will return to action on Monday at home against Niles.

CAMPBELL OH- Wednesday night volleyball action had the Campbell Memorial Red Devils (2-3) defending home court against the (3-2) Sebring Trojans who are in the midst of a three-game road stand. This was a non-conference exhibition between members of the MVAC Scarlet and Gray Tiers.
Set one was led entirely by the Red Devils who jumped out to a quick 6-0 lead before Sebring got on the board. Sebring was led most of the night by their kills leader No. 1 Blake Thomas who had some absolutely lethal spikes on the night. Thomas helped lead her squad back into a competitive set one that stayed around a three-point score difference after the initial Red Devils lead. Campbell would find the momentum around the midway point and cruise home to victory in set one 25-13.
Set two was much closer as Sebring jumped on the board quickly scoring the first point, but they were answered immediately by Campbell who quickly returned the favor. This was a seesaw battle in set two in which neither squad was able to seize momentum. The two teams kept within one or two points and forced it to a tied game at 23 each before Campbell made some great plays to close out the second set of the night.
Set three was what would be called a volleyball clinic as Campbell could do no wrong being led by their kills leader No. 12 Kendall Brunn who not only added on to her kills total in this third set but was dominating with blocks at the net as well. Campbell would go up by a dozen before Sebring had their first point of the set and from their it was lights out. Campbell would allow just one more point in the set and would take home their third and final set of the night 25-2 over Sebring.
Both teams moved to (3-3) on the season after this game. All of Campbell’s wins this season have come on 3-0 wins at home. They will play host to Champion Thursday night at 6:30PM. Sebring will finish off their three-game road stand against Mineral Ridge Thursday night at 6:30PM.
NORTH JACKSON OH- The Blue Jays played their first MVAC Leage match of the season in a tri-match VS Mineral Ridge and Sebring Wednesday moring at Olde Dutch Mill Golf Course. The Blue Jays placed 2nd in the tri-match earning their first MVAC and win of the season. The Blue Jays were highlighted by Aaren and Ryen Romigh who both finished with PR’s of 40 and 43 for their rounds. The Blue Jays look to continue their success, tomomrrow, when they face Springfield HS at Bedford Trails Golf Course beginning at 12:30 pm. Complete scores are listed below.

NORTH JACKSON OH- Fridays afternoon the Bluejays defeated Sebring in an MVAC double header by the scores of 7-0 and 13-3.
Junior Owen McDevitt earned his second victory of the season by striking out 11 and surrendering 1 Hit.
In game 2 the Bluejays scored 13 runs on 10 hits. 8 different Bluejays collected a hit in the contest. Juniors Aiden Pugh and Billy Sloan had multiple hits. Billy Sloan had 2 doubles and 3 RBI’s. Cayden Mitchell also earned his second victory on the mound by pitching a complete game tossing a 1 hitter while striking out 6.
Withe the victory we improve to 6-2 and 4-1 in league play. Today we travel to Cene Park in another MVAC showdown with Lowellville.
