DEVILS GET TO DOUBLE DIGIT WINS

BERLIN CENTER, Ohio — The Western Reserve Blue Devils girls basketball team secured their 10th victory of the season with a commanding 60-34 win over the Jackson Milton Blue Jays on Thursday night in Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference action.
Western Reserve (10-4, 6-3 MVAC) set the tone early, outscoring Jackson Milton 21-7 in the first quarter. By halftime, the Blue Devils extended their lead to 36-18, using a balanced offensive attack and stifling defense. They continued their dominance in the third quarter, holding the Blue Jays to just six points, and sealed the victory with a strong fourth-quarter performance.
Kylee Ramsey led the way for Western Reserve with 21 points, while Izzy Mauro added 15. Quincy Miller contributed 9 points, and Kylah Busch and Chloeigh Endsley each chipped in 6.
For Jackson Milton (8-9, 3-6 MVAC), Amani Yasin was the standout performer, scoring a game-high 22 points. Emma Johns and Nora Schwarten each finished with 4 points.
Next up, Western Reserve will host the Springfield Tigers (9-7, 7-1 MVAC) on Saturday, January 25, with a 1:30 p.m. tip-off. Jackson Milton will look to rebound when they travel to Lowellville (7-8, 4-4 MVAC) on the same day for a 1 p.m. matchup.
