TEAMS COMBINE FOR 45 RUNS IN CLIPPER WIN

LISBON, OH- Chase Franken gave David Anderson fits, as he bagged four hits in Columbiana‘s 35-10 victory on Wednesday. Chase Franken doubled in the second, singled in the third, doubled in the fourth, and singled in the fifth.  Columbiana collected 29 hits and Lisbon had nine in the high-scoring affair.

The Clippers got on the board in the first inning. Joe Bable drove in three when he doubled.  The Clippers hot bats  notched 14 runs in the third inning were led by singles by Hunter Zentner, Chase FrankenAJ Perkins, Joe Bable, and Zach Fahs, a walk by Dejon Hudson, by Joe Bable, a groundout by Evan Kenneally, a fielder’s choice by Michael Ginocchi, an error on a ball put in play by Erik Hopfenziz, and a double by Ginocchi.  Lisbon responded and scored five runs in the fourth inning. SummersCox, and Rance each had RBIs in the frame.

Chase Franken was the winning pitcher for Columbiana. He lasted five innings, allowing nine hits and ten runs while striking out five and walking one.  Cox took the loss for the Blue Devils. He went one and one-third innings, allowing seven runs on seven hits, striking out one and walking zero.  Lisbon collected nine hits. SummersCox, and Entrikin each managed multiple hits for David Anderson. Summers led David Anderson with three hits in three at bats.
