THE FALLS WONT BE SILENCED

NEWTON FALLS, OHIO – If you brought your scorecard with you to the ballpark, there was a lot of scoring for you to keep track of as Newton Falls knocked off Brookfield 15-10.

A 3-2 lead for Brookfield after the first inning of play was their only lead throughout. Newton Falls tallied three runs in the bottom of the second then tees off for runs in the fifth and sixth innings.

Alex Pennington and Cameron Huff led the offensive onslaught for the Tigers in the sixth inning, each driving in key runs. Huff and Penningtoned the team in hits with three a piece.

Trevor Roscoe led things off on the bump for Newton Falls. Roscoe went five and a third innings, allowing ten runs on eight hits and striking out six. The final line for Newton Falls reads 15 runs on 11 hits with three fielding errors.

These two teams have another date together for tomorrow night at 5:00 p.m. with Brookfield being the host team this time around. Newton Falls will look to keep the offensive fire going and Brookfield is hoping to put it out.
