STRUTHERS OH-  It was a tough day on Thursday for Struthers, who lost 12-1 to West Branch

Struthers got things moving in the second inning. An error scored one run.

West Branch evened things up at one in the top of the third inning when Anthony Perry singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run.

West Branch pulled away for good with one run in the fourth inning. In the fourth Gavin Bell singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

West Branch scored five runs in the fifth inning. Their offense in the inning was led by Hunter Shields, Aaron Tucker, Christian Starcher, and Bell, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Beau Alazaus earned the victory on the mound for West Branch. Alazaus lasted four innings, allowing three hits and one run while striking out two and walking zero. Tucker and Garrison Martin entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Alec Grzyb took the loss for the Wildcats. The righthander lasted four and a third innings, allowing six hits and seven runs while striking out four and walking zero.

Chance Laczko, Ronnie Leonard, Grzyb, Caleb Sakara, and Olindo Pezzone all had one hit to lead Struthers.

West Branch racked up nine hits on the day. Martin and Perry each managed multiple hits.
