THE HERO’S CAPE FITS BARTLETT IN LAKEVIEW WALK OFF

CANFIELD OH- Lakeview walked it off in style Wednesday night, taking down South Range 6-5 in extras thanks to a clutch single in the bottom of the eighth.

With the game locked at 5-5, Kennedy Bartlett came through with the game-winner—lacing a base hit that sent the Bulldogs pouring out of the dugout in celebration.

Lakeview jumped out early, plating two in the first on a sac bunt and a liner down the left field line. They stretched the lead to four by the third thanks to a two-run knock from Hallie Capan and looked in control.

But South Range had other plans. The Raiders chipped away with a two-run bomb in the fifth, then tied things up in the seventh on a sac fly and an RBI double to send it to extras. That set the stage for the dramatics.

Mackenzie Stowe added a solo shot for Lakeview in the fifth, keeping the Bulldogs just ahead long enough to give them a shot in the eighth.

Isabella Isenberg went the distance in the circle for Lakeview, grinding through eight innings while scattering 10 hits and striking out three to earn the win.

Offensively, Lakeview pounded out 14 hits. Kalyssa Werner was unstoppable at the top of the lineup, going 4-for-5 with two stolen bags. Capan knocked in a pair, and Bartlett, Rylee Barnot, and Stowe all had multi-hit nights.

South Range racked up 10 hits of their own, with Sophia Brogan and Heidi Bartels each collecting three. Jayli Wilt provided the power with a two-run blast and led the team with two RBIs. Next up: Lakeview hosts Girard on Monday, while South Range heads to Poland for a Thursday showdown.
