THE THUNDER ROLLS: ROTH STRIKES BIG AGAINST CSA

STRUTHERS, OH- Logan Baxter showed timely hitting on Saturday, driving in five on three hits to lead Roth past  Complete Sports Academy 16-3 on Saturday. Baxter drove in runs on a single in the first, a single in the third, and a triple in the sixth.

Roth earned the victory despite allowing Complete Sports Academy to score three runs in the fourth inning. CSA’s big inning was driven by an error on a ball put in play by Carson Fuller and a double by Ethan Feezle.

Roth got on the board in the first inning. CJ Frasco grounded out, scoring one run.

Roth blew up and scored ten runs in the sixth inning.  The big inning was driven by walks by Dylan Casey and Frasco, singles by Andrew Kali and Luke Rohan, a triple by Baxter, and a double by PJ Scott.

Frasco took the win for Roth. He allowed one hit and one run over three innings, striking out six and walking one. Ben Wilcox and Dustin Smith entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Nick Kyprianou started the game for Complete Sports Academy. He surrendered six runs on six hits over five innings, striking out two. Joey Komlanc and Gavin Richmond entered the game from the bullpen, throwing two-thirds of an inning and one-third of an inning respectively.

Roth tallied ten hits. Baxter and Kali each had multiple hits to lead the team.
