TIGERS CLAW AWAY AT CRESTVIEW

COLUMBIANA OH- Springfield asserted their will over Crestview on their way to an easy 10-4 victory

Springfield got things started in the first inning when Ethan Mannion singled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs.

Crestview evened things up at two in the bottom of the first inning when Keith Berger singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

The Tigers pulled away for good with one run in the third inning. In the third Nate LaBoy singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

Springfield scored four runs in the fourth inning. The batters contributing to the big inning included Aaron Groner and Mitchell Seymour, who each had RBIs in the inning.

Seymour led things off on the pitcher’s mound for Springfield. The righty lasted one inning, allowing two hits and two runs while striking out two and walking zero.

Sam Campbell was on the hill for Crestview. Campbell surrendered five runs on four hits over three and a third innings. Kyle Saunders and Eli Riffle entered the game from the bullpen, throwing two innings and one and two-thirds innings respectively.

The Tigers socked one home run on the day. Seymour went for the long ball in the fourth inning.

Springfield saw the ball well today, racking up ten hits in the game. Sean Gardner and Seymour each racked up multiple hits. Seymour and Gardner all had two hits to lead.

Crestview racked up seven hits. Berger and Matthew Strank each collected multiple hits.
