TIGERS GET A SOLID BOOST ON THE ROAD

HANOVERTON OH- The Wellsville Tigers upped their season record to 8-11 following a 56-40 victory over the United Eagles in Friday night EOAC hardwood action.

Andrew Mackey scored a season high 21 points for the Tigers and Tyrell Watkins dropped in 18 points. Leading at the midway point 25-19 Wellsville pulled away in the 2nd half with a 19-10  advantage in the 3rd period.

The Tigers now stand at 6-7in the EOAC. For the Eagles, who fell to 4-15 for the year and 2-10 in league action, Trent Ellyson scored 12 points.

Wellsville will be at home on Tuesday as they host Barnesville.  United returns to action on Tuesday at home against Columbiana.
