TIGERS STORM PAST MCDONALD

NEW MIDDLETOWN, OH- The McDonald Blue Devils were the last team to beat Springfield in the regular season.

That was September 21st.

2018.

Yes, nearly two years ago the Tigers fell- and McDonald was in the kitchen cooking up an upset on the road in 2020, except Springfield had all the ingredients this time in their pantry.  In fact, the Tigers were able to draw up a few trick plays to keep things interesting in a 49-13 victory over their MVAC rivals.

Beau Brungard led the way for Springfield with four touchdowns  (11/19 passing, 55 yards rushing), while Clayton Nezbeth rushed for 102 yards and 3 total scores for the Tigers.

For McDonald, Dom Schadl ran for 180 yards on 22 carries and a score.

Springfield will take on Lowellville in Tiger Territory next week, and McDonald returns home to take on Mineral Ridge.
