TIGERS NOT SLOWED DOWN BY RESERVE

NEW MIDDLETOWN OH- Springfield came into Friday night with a 6 game winning streak after dropping the first game of the season. Western Reserve was also on a win streak, theirs was 4. But only one streak could continue, and it was the Tigers that put their best foot forward. They shutout the Blue Devils for a 42-0 win.

Beau Brungard threw for a pair of touchdowns, and then went and tossed two more through the air. He ran and passed for over 100 yards. Like their match up last year, the Tigers defense ended long Blue Devil drives with zero points allowed. The ball control game plan back fired on Reserve. They only managed 100 yards of total offense.

Springfield improves to 7-1 and will continue their season in Week 9 against Jackson Milton at home. Western Reserve will also be at home in Week 9 as they host Sebring.
