TIGERS TAKE BEAVER LOCAL IN FOUR

WELLSVILLE, OH- If you know about volleyball, you know that Columbiana County has become a hot spot for the sport.  With teams like Crestview, Heartland Christian, East Liverpool, Columbiana, East Palestine, and Salem- just to name a few, two of the premier programs took center stage last night as Wellsville hosted Beaver Local in non-conference action.

The Beavers stormed out of the gate, and let the electric atmosphere spark their play as they took the first set 25-17.

However, the Tigers took control the rest of the way.  Taking a big set two, 25-22, then dominating the third set 25-11 before sealing the deal 25-22 for the win.

Presley Stokes was all over the floor for the Tigers, contributing 16 kills, 5 aces, and a pair of blocks.  Big Dog Nominee for this week, Alana Amato had 11 kills and 2 aces, while Emily McNicol had 9 kills, 3 aces, and 20 assists.  Aubri Ramsey kept the ball alive against the dangerous Beaver Local offense with 16 digs.

For Beaver Local, Leah Riccardo had 8 digs. Bailey Bowersock had 4 kills and 9 digs. Kodi Kinsey had 13 digs. Emma Joseph had 19 assists. Elizabeth Kolkowski had 15 kills and 3 blocks. Brooke Talbott had 4 kills, 17 assists, and 13 digs. Grace Hill had 16 kills and 2 blocks. Chloe Reed had 5 digs. The Beavers play Tuesday at Big Red.
