TIGERS TOO TOUGH FOR HARDING

Howland got a win in the AAC by beating the Harding Raiders 5-1 on Thursday.

Howland got things moving in the second inning. Braden Gebhardt’s sac fly scored one run.

Howland pulled away for good with three runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Gebhardt’s sac fly scored one run, Evan McClain singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run, and Ryan Hooper singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

Jak Kenney was the winning pitcher for the Tigers. The pitcher lasted two and a third innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out three and walking one. Brenden Ray threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Ray recorded the last three outs to earn the save.

Carson Peterson took the loss for Harding. Peterson lasted six innings, allowing ten hits and five runs while striking out two and walking zero.

Evan McBane started the game for Howland. The pitcher allowed three hits and one run over three and two-thirds innings, striking out four

Anthony Massucci went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Howland in hits.

David Devlin led the Raiders with two hits in four at bats. Harding didn’t commit a single error in the field. Devlin had the most chances in the field with five.
