TIGERS TROUNCE CLIPPERS

New Middletown, OH- The Columbiana Clippers came into their matchup with Springfield brimming with confidence and intent on avenging two straight blowout losses to the Tigers. It was made clear very early that that was not going to happen. After forcing a three and out on
the Clippers first possession, the Tigers quickly found the end zone on a Beau Brungard to Garrett Walker 21-yard strike. Dominating the line of scrimmage, the Tigers methodically pulled away for a 35-0 victory.

The Clippers struggled to stop the Tiger running game led by Austin Tindell. Tindell was the workhorse though the rushing touchdowns came from Brungard, David Duvall, and Chris Shoemaker. Brungard also returned an interception for a touchdown right before the half
leaving little doubt about the outcome going into the break.

Any offense the Clippers could muster was thwarted by turnovers as the Clippers could not sustain a drive, never crossing the Springfield 30 yard line.

Springfield (3-0) travels to Lowellville next week while Columbiana (1-2) hosts Southern Local to kickoff the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference schedule. You can catch the Clippers and Indians on YSNLive.com
