TIGERS WASTE NO TIME WITH LOWELLVILLE

Aaron Groner wasted no opportunities at the plate on Tuesday, driving in four on three hits to lead Springfield past Jackson-Milton 8-1 on Tuesday. Groner drove in runs on a double in the third and a home run in the sixth.

Braden Butler took the win for the Tigers. Butler went six innings, allowing one run on two hits, striking out six and walking one. Adam Kawecki threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Billy Sloan toed the rubber for Jackson-Milton. The bulldog surrendered five runs on seven hits over four innings, striking out four. Mason Robison and Aaron Landis entered the game from the bullpen, throwing one and one-third innings and two-thirds of an inning respectively.

Springfield launched one home run on the day. Groner went for the long ball in the sixth inning.

The Tigers totaled eight hits. Groner and Vinny Woods each racked up multiple hits. Groner led with three hits in four at bats.

Frank Prozy went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Jackson-Milton in hits.
