TIGERS WIN A CLASSIC PITCHER’S DUEL

NEW  MIDDLETOWN OH-  Both teams were strong in the pitcher’s circle Monday, but Springfield defeated Jackson-Milton 2-1. Haleigh McCalla allowed just four hits to Jackson-Milton.

McCalla was credited with the victory for Springfield. The hurler went seven innings, allowing one run on four hits and striking out ten.

Macayle Thornhill took the loss for Jackson-Milton. The hurler allowed five hits and two runs over six innings, striking out eight and walking one.

Sami McKim led the Tigers with two hits in three at bats.

Paige Grope went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Jackson-Milton in hits.
