TOPORCER IS A FORCE TO BE RECKONED WITH

CANFIELD OH- Canfield girls soccer has been one of the most successful programs in the area. They’ve won 11 straight AAC championships coming in to this season. They clinched a share of their 12th earlier this season. Their recent success comes with incredible talent. One of their biggest weapons in junior Maci Toporcer.  Maci is a huge talent. She is a tremendous asset to this Cardinal team that has continued to leave most of their opponents in the dust. She drives herself to be better every day. Being this good at anything doesn’t happen over night. Maci has taken the time and effort it takes to get to where she is at. And she isn’t close to slowing down. After she is done at Canfield, Maci already has a home at the next level.  Toporcer is committed to play in the Horizon League at Purdue Fort Wayne.

Toporcer has led Canfield to a record of 12-2-1 and 7-1 in the AAC.  The Cardinals have had big matchups with Kenston, Mooney, Ursuline, and Poland to name a few. They have won all of those matchups except for Kenston, who they tied 1-1.  In all of those games Maci has been a huge cog in what the Cardinals do well  She is one of the best players in the area, and someone that any soccer fan has ton and a point to go and see.

Maci was gracious enough to take some time to talk with YSN’s Anthony Hartwig to talk about her Cardinals career. They talk about committing to Purdue Fort Wayne before her senior season, what made that decision so easy for her, and much more.
