United was victorious over Columbiana, 4-1 on Wednesday night, which gave the Clippers their first loss of the season.

United opened up scoring in the first inning, when an error scored two runs.

Nevin Hahlen was the winning pitcher for the Eagles. The righty allowed three hits and one run over seven innings, striking out eight.

Devin Daugherty took the loss for Columbiana. The pitcher went five innings, allowing four runs on six hits and striking out seven.

Grant Knight led the Eagles with two hits in three at bats.

Zachery Plesca went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Columbiana in hits.
