UNITED KEEPS THINGS ON LOCK DOWN

HANOVERTON, OHIO- Nevin Hahlen had all the right stuff on Wednesday for the United Eagles, allowing zero runs as United took down Southern by a score of 12-0.

United had eight hits in the game. Quentin Taylor, Ryan Keir, Knight, and Trent Newburn all had multiple hits.  Newburn, Knight, Keir, and Taylor each collected two hits to lead the Eagles at the plate.

The Eagles also tore up the base paths, as three players stole at least two bases with Brock Rhodes leading the way with two. Hahlen was the winning pitcher on the mound as the righty lasted five innings, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out 11.

One bright spot for Southern was a single by Brown in the fourth inning. Colussy took the loss for Southern. The hurler went four innings, allowing 12 runs on eight hits and striking out one.

United will be back in action when they take on Heartland Christian of Friday. First pitch is scheduled at 5:00. Southern will try to turn things around when they travel to East Palestine on Monday. First pitch is scheduled for 5:00.
