UNITED ROARS PAST BULLDOGS ON THE ROAD

EAST PALESTINE, OH- It felt like a home game for United as they marched into enemy territory on Saturday afternoon to take down their EOAC foe, East Palestine by a final of 39-19.  You could feel the vibe United brought into the Dog Pound from the introductions.  Standing ovations, an excitable bench and coaching staff that not only supported throughout the game but celebrated continuously.  It truly was a community victory for Eagle Nation on Saturday, and everybody involved had a hand in.

It was almost as if United knew the answers before the questions were asked.

United Head Coach Josh Sigler drew up a dynamic blueprint against the Lady Bulldogs.  Knowing that there is a limited bench for East Palestine- The Eagles ran a cross-country meet against the Bulldogs, extending the floor and making EP chase the basketball all over the floor.

That plan was executed to perfection, and EP was gassed going into halftime.

That being said, East Palestine tried as they may come out fighting in the second half, but Taylor Cope took over down low.  Cope had a game-high 14 points but did so much more than a typical forward.  Cope joined in the perimeter chase for the Lady Eagles, and that gave the EOAC leaders that much more of an advantage.  Colby Burton contributed big for the Lady Eagles as well, getting loose basketballs and roping in rebounds, and getting 8 points on the day.

For East Palestine, scoring was at a premium.  Joclyn Fristik led the Lady Bulldogs with 8 points, while Patience Champney had 4, and Mia Lee contributed 3.
