YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO – A big offensive night was what powered Ursuline to a 10-0 victory over Springfield Friday night to extend their winning streak to three games.

The offense got right to work in the first inning on a Tommy Groner single that scored one. In the fifth inning, Dylan Casey, Jack Ericson, CJ Frasco, and Groner all contributed to a five spot off RBI hits. The Ursuline offense saw the ball well and spread it all over the field, totaling up 15 hits as a team. Ericson went 2-for-4 with four RBI’s and one run scored to lead the offensive charge for the Irish.

Groner took the ball for Ursuline and had his pitches working all night. The righthander only allowed four hits and zero runs with six strikeouts in his six innings of impressive work on the hill.

Ursuline will have a quick turnaround between games, next they play St. Vincent-St. Mary Saturday morning at noon.
