VIKINGS BEND BUT NEVER BREAK

LEAVITTSBURG OH- The Vikings had been hearing for a couple of weeks that Garfield may have exposed holes in their defense. They put any talk of that nature to bed on Friday night though, as they shut out a 1 loss Brookfield team 28-0 on homecoming. Brookfield hasn’t been shutout since 2017.

Devin Carter was his normal self as he set the tone with a 44 yard touchdown in the Vikings first scoring drive. He finished with 106 yards on the ground, and 48 yards in the passing game. Aiden Stephens added to the offense with 141 yards through the air, and 88 yards with his legs.

Teandre Craig led the Warriors gaining 96 yards on the ground. The passing game was held in check though, as the Vikings held Donavan Pawlaski to just 32 yards passing.

LaBrae’s defense will be tested again in Week 9 as they play a Liberty team that is coming off a 53 point performance. Brookfield has another tall task in front of them as they play Garfield in Week 9.
