VIKINGS CANT HOLD UP TO RIDGE

MINERAL RIDGE, OHIO- Mineral Ridge swept the regular season matchup against Waterloo on Tuesday as they won a close one 10-6.

Trey Rigley went 2 for 4 and scored two runs to help the Rams on the offensive side of things. Jack Gillie was the winning pitcher of the day as he allowed 7 hits, 3 runs, and had 3 strikeouts through three and a third innings of work.

Austin Hurst went 2 for 3 on the day as Drew Flarida and Landon McClain both went 2 for 4 in a valiant effort for Waterloo. The losing pitcher on the day was Mason Sweitzer, who allowed 3 hits, 4 runs, and had 2 strikeouts through two inning of work on the mound.

Mineral Ridge will be back on the diamond when they take on Salem on Wednesday. Waterloo will try and get on the winning side of things when they travel to Garfield to take on the G-Men on Wednesday.
