VIKINGS NARROWLY ESCAPE LIBERTY

LIBERTY OH- LaBrae was a streaking team coming in to Week 9, and so was Liberty in fact. It was promised to be an explosive matchup. The way the game developed it seemed that the last team who had the ball would surely win the game. Unfortunately for Liberty, even though they had a productive drive eating away the fourth quarter clock, the Vikings picked up a fumble and ran it all the way to the opposite endzone for one of the most dramatic endings to a football game you can imagine. LaBrae would win 41-34.

Aiden Stephens ran for 157 yards for the Vikings with 3 touchdowns on 20 carries. He also threw for 57 yards. Cameron Rabel scooped up the game winning fumble recovery and return for a touchdown.

DC Ferrell was impressive on the night. The freshman quarterback went 25/35 for 317 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Chris Cunningham secured his fourth straight game with 100 plus receiving yards. Cunningham had 7 catches for 160 yards and two touchdowns.

LaBrae will conclude their regular season on Friday as they welcome in Campbell. Liberty has another big chance for an upset as they travel to Garfield.
