VRABLE, LADY DEVILS WALK OFF THE TIGERS IN EXTRA’S

LISBON, OH- The Springfield Lady Tigers had Lisbon on the ropes.  They scored seven runs in the seventh to push the game to extras.  They EVEN scored in the eighth inning to take the lead.  Then, once again- Justyce reigned down for the Lisbon Lady Blue Devils.  Lisbon defeated Springfield 11-10 on Monday thanks to a walk-off home run when Justyce Vrable homered on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs and winning the game.

Springfield tallied eight runs in the failed comeback. ApplegarthPontiusKishKishYemma, and Joseph picked up RBIs to lead the rally.  Springfield got on the board in the first inning when Kish grounded into a double play, scoring one run.  Fast forward to the top of the seventh inning, Springfield tied things up at nine when Capouellez singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

Mya Emmerling got the win for Lisbon. She went two-thirds of an inning, allowing zero runs on one hit and walking zero.  Emma Thompson started the game for David Anderson Blue Devils Varsity. She lasted seven and a third innings, allowing 13 hits and 11 runs while striking out four and walking zero

Kish took the loss for Springfield. She lasted three and a third innings, allowing five hits and six runs while striking out two and walking one.  Joseph started the game for Springfield. She went four innings, allowing five runs on seven hits, striking out five and walking one.

Lisbon tallied 12 hits on the day. Justyce VrableAutumn OehlstromKaity Clark, and Kenedy Vrable each managed multiple hits for Lisbon.  Freshmen, Justyce Vrable led the Lady Devils with four hits in five at-bats.

Springfield collected 14 hits on the day. DuskeyKishApplegarthYemma, and Capouellez all managed multiple hits for Springfield.
