WALK OFF WINNER FOR RESERVE MUDDLES MILTON

BERLIN CENTER, OH- A walk-off single led Western Reserve past Jackson-Milton 3-2 on Wednesday.  The game was tied at two with Western Reserve batting in the bottom of the tenth when Nick Niemi singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

The pitching was strong on both sides.  Blue Devil pitchers struck out ten, while Jackson-Milton pitchers sat down seven.

In the third inning, Western Reserve got their offense started when Niemi reached on a dropped third strike.

In the top of the fifth inning, Jackson-Milton tied things up at two when Sloan singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.

Niemi was the winning pitcher for Western Reserve. The hurler went five innings, allowing zero runs on two hits and striking out three.

Gavin Sahli took the loss for Jackson-Milton. Sahli surrendered one run on one hit over two-thirds of an inning, walking one.

Mason Robison started the game for Jackson-Milton. The bulldog surrendered zero runs on one hit over two innings, striking out one.   Jake Pappagallo started the game for Western Reserve.   The fireballer went five innings, allowing two runs on four hits and striking out seven

Niemi led Western Reserve Blue Devils Varsity with four hits in five at-bats.

Frank Prozy went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Jackson-Milton in hits.
