WARRIORS COME OUT TO PLAY, OUTLAST REBELS

COLUMBIANA, OH –  The Rebels were looking for progress in their season after putting up 21 points against a tough Southern Local Indians team. The Rebels found difficulty all night facing a strong Brookfield team racking up 8 total touchdowns against the Rebel defense. Warriors Running Back Tyler Briggs scored a total of 3 touchdowns in the winning effort. The Warrior offense would gain 591 yards on offense with 380 yards coming from passing.
The Warriors would score first after Brookfield Quarterback Haden Gibson was able to find the end zone from 2 yards out to make the game 7-0. Crestview would answer early in the 2nd quarter after Crestview Wide Receiver Brandon Yanssens would get the direct snap and rush forward for a touchdown to tie the game. The Warriors would regain the lead after a 32-yard pass from Running Back Tyler Briggs to Wide Receiver Gage Emery in the back of the end zone would give Warriors the 14-7 lead. Brookfield would increase their lead after a 70-yard reception by Wide Receiver Dakota King down the sideline to make the game 21-7. Brookfield would score once more before the half after Briggs would rush for 3 yards to make the lead 28-7 at halftime. In the Third Quarter, Briggs would score his third touchdown for the Warriors with a 5-yard touchdown making the game 35-7.
Crestview gained some momentum in the Third Quarter after a 78-yard kick return from the Rebel’s William Hardenbrook, Running Back Ethan Powell scored from 6 yards out to make the score, 35-14. Brookfield would seal their victory in the 2nd half after scoring 3 additional touchdowns to make their point total for the game to 56. The Rebels would score one more time in the 4th Quarter after an 11-yard touchdown pass from Anthony Cusick to Yanssens would add 7 more points. The Warriors offense was too much for the Rebels tonight, beating Crestview 56-21. The Warriors (5-1) will play Columbiana next weekend. Crestview (1-5) will play Campbell next week.
