CANFIELD, OHIO- The West Branch Warriors were on the road in Canfield as part of the JoAnn Kernan Strikeout Cancer Tournament against the Geneva Eagles. It was a run away victory for the Warriors as they won 11-1.

After the score was tied at one at the end of the first inning, that’s when the Warriors went to work. They scored 10 runs during the next three innings as they were led by Josie Milliken, who went 3 for 4 and by Sara Schmidt, who went 2 for 3. Klary Mckay was the winning pitcher going five innings, allowing 3 hits, 1 run, and 8 strikeouts.

West Branch will try to get back in the win column again when they travel to Minerva on Tuesday to take on the Lions.
