WARRIORS SEASON ENDS AT THE HANDS OF AURORA

JEFFERSON OH- West Branch just couldn’t match up with Aurora’s firepower, taking a tough 12-3 loss on Tuesday. Aurora came out swinging right from the start, jumping ahead in the first inning with McKennah Metzger driving in a run off a single.

Metzger was a force all game, blasting a two-run homer in the third that really set the tone for Aurora. She didn’t just shine at the plate; she dominated on the mound too, allowing just three runs across seven innings while racking up 12 strikeouts.

Klary McKay struggled for West Branch, giving up a hefty 12 runs on 16 hits during her stint of just over five innings.

Mati Hawk tried to rally West Branch with two RBIs off one hit, but the team couldn’t generate much more offense. Libbie Davis, McKay, Addi Craven, and Brynn Smith each managed a hit, but it wasn’t enough to keep their season alive, closing the books on a solid 17-7 record.
