WARRIORS TALLY ANOTHER WIN

The West Branch Warriors looked to build some momentum from its close victory Friday night over Poland. The Warriors wasted no time in trying to accomplish that feat as they scored quickly en route to a 6-4 victory over Western Reserve Academy on Saturday afternoon.

The green machine struck quickly in the first inning as Boston Mulinix roped an RBI double, scoring Nick Wilson. Hunter Shield then stepped to the plate and delivered an RBI single, scoring Mulinix putting West Branch up 2-0. The Warriors would maintain the lead going into the 6th inning when things went south.

The Pioneers would capitalize on walks, and a costly error to knot the score at 4. West Branch would quickly answer in the bottom half of the inning. Zach Peters would get the rally started doubling to center with 1 out. Jacob Moss would then deliver the go ahead RBI single scoring Peters making it 5-4.

Moss would eventually score on an insurance run making it the final score of 6-4. Gavin Bell (2.1IP,3K) was the benefactor of the late game heroics collecting the W on the mound.

West Branch (4-3) looks to keep it going traveling to EBC rival Alliance on Tuesday.
