WARRIORS WIN IN MATCHUP WITH AN OLD CONFERENCE FOE

BELOIT OH- West Branch asserted their will over Canton South on their way to an easy 10-3 victory on Saturday

West Branch got things started in the first inning when Aaron Tucker singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

The Warriors scored four runs in the sixth inning. The offensive onslaught was led by Jeremiah Thomas, Boston Mulinix, and Beau Alazaus, who each had RBIs in the inning.

Anthony Perry earned the win for West Branch. The pitcher went five and two-thirds innings, allowing three runs on 11 hits, striking out one and walking one. Thomas and Gavin Bell entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Drayke Mayle took the loss for Canton South. The pitcher allowed seven hits and four runs over three innings, striking out one.

The Warriors collected 15 hits on the day. Tucker, Mulinix, Bell, Hunter Shields, and Perry each racked up multiple hits. Bell, Mulinix, and Tucker each managed three hits to lead the way. West Branch was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Tucker had the most chances in the field with eight. Tucker also led West Branch with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with seven stolen bases.

Canton South racked up 11 hits in the game. Poochie Snyder, AJ Pierson, AJ, and Jimmy Smith each had multiple hits.
