WARRIORS WOULD NOT BE DENIED ON SENIOR DAY

Beloit OH- On Saturday, the West Branch Lady Warriors were looking to grab another win to close out the season. It was senior day at West Branch honoring three Lady Warriors, Cami Campbell, Hannah Egli, and Baylee Waugaman. The task was not going to be easy though, as they welcomed in the Division IV 17-2 Springfield Tigers. West Branch was able to get the win with an impressive 58-35 victory and send out their seniors on a high note.

 

Livvie Showalter had a big performance with 14 points for the Warriors. Sophie Gregory and Mikalyn Fitts were each able to contribute 8 points. Finally, Cami Campbell added 6 and Hannah Egli had 4 points. Senior Baylee Waugaman did not score, but was a key contributor defensively.

 

Springfield was led by Madison Lesnak who knocked in a couple of threes on her way to scoring 14 points. Mariana Tuscano also scored in double figures with 10. The Tigers leading scorer this season Jacey Mullen, was held in check by the Warrior defense only scoring 5 points.

 

With the win, West Branch improves to 9-11 on the season. The Warriors will travel to Carrollton for their final EBC game of the season.The Tigers drop to 17-3 and will host Waterloo on Monday.
