WATERLOO STUNS SOUTH RANGE LATE

CANFIELD, OH-  Patience was truly a virtue on Monday, as the Waterloo Lady Vikings bided their time against Freshman Pitcher, Bree Kohler.  South Range stayed in it until the end, but Waterloo pulled away late in a 4-3 victory on Monday. Waterloo trailed 3-2 in the top of the seventh inning when Senior Macayla Kehrer singled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs.  South Range lost despite out-hitting Waterloo eight to five.

Macayla Kehrer was the winning pitcher for Waterloo. She surrendered three runs on eight hits over seven innings, striking out four.

Bree Kohler took the loss for the Lady Raiders. She lasted seven innings, allowing five hits and four runs while striking out 12.

Kehrer went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Waterloo in hits.
